APPLICATION
WZ series adopts modular design, with advantages of heavy load, high accuracy, efficiency and reliability, rational structure, wide application and convenience operation. Besides the basic functions of common heavy duty horizontal machine tools, it can process conical surface, curve surface, step axle groove and thread. It can also realize milling, drilling and grinding when equipped with different kinds of attachments.lt is mainly applied in industries such as energy, transportation, machinery, for machining shaft of wind power, generator, rotor of water turbine, diesel cylinder for ship, cross pin, connecting bar, cylinder rod, roller, mechanical shaft, rudder spindle, hoister and barrel of ship.
The main performance characteristics:
- Headstock spindle adopts high accuracy rolling bearing at radial and axial direction. Two step mechanic speed change, AC spindle motor drive. Master and slave servo motors could be adopted for milling feeding and indexing;
- Tailstock adopts self-adapt mechanism of workpiece thermal extension, electric load cell and teeth plate thrust device;
- At lengthwise direction, carriage adopts plastic paste soft belt guideway, at crosswise direction, linear roller sliding way.
- Lengthwise transmission adopts double rack and pinion mechanism for clearance elimination crosswise transmission adopts double nut clearance elimination mechanism and ballscrew. Vertical. horizontal or motorized turret carriage could be adopted;
- Optional attachments :C type steady rest, milling tool carriage, grinding head, deep-hole boring system with large diameter, etc;
- Optional CNC system: SIEMENS, FANUC, REXROTH etc.

Company Profile
Wuhan Heavy Duty Machine Tool Group Corporation (hereinafter abbreviated as WZ) is restructured from the former Wuhan Heavy Machine Tool factory, famous for products giant in size and complete range in varieties.
As one of the 156 national key projects during the "First Five" period, WZ is a large-sized backbone enterprise manufacturing CNC heavy duty and super heavy duty machine tools. Since put into production in 1958, WZ has provided more than 20000 sets of important equipments for domestic trades like mechanics, resources, aerospace, aviation, military, transportation, chemical industry etc. A batch of WZ high-tech products represented by features of high speed, high accuracy, combined machining and flexible manufacturing cell filled the domestic gap, undertaken national mission, provided important "machine tools" to various trades of national economy and national key projects. WZ was awarded "Major contribution for revitalization of equipment manufacturing industry" by National Development and Reform Committee.
In 1952, approved by the State Council, Wuhan Heavy Duty Machine Tool Group Corporation (Abbreviated WZ) was listed one of the 156 Soviet aid national key projects.
In 1956, the construction of the first workshop started and in 1958, WZ was approved to put into product.
In 2001, State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council (Abbr. As SASAC) of Wuhan City approved WZ change from factory system into corporation system. In August 2008, Wuhan Heavy Industrial Group was established, performing the function of state-owned assets management, with WZ affiliated as wholly subsidiary. In October 25th, 2011, approved by SASAC, WZ was reorganized to enter China North Industries Group Corporation.
WZ emphasizes scientific research, cultivated and forged a strong technical team during a period of more 60 years. More than 200 items of various technical innovation awards of national level have been won by WZ.
WZ has created one after another "No. 1" in China machine tool development industry.

150, 000 m2 Floor space and 65, 000 m2 for Area of structure.
Max annual manufacturing capacity: Iron castings 40000T.
All kinds of Grey iron can be casting, up to 160T per piece, all kinds of ductile iron up to 100T per piece and ingot mould up to 160T per piece.
WZ processes national level 1 Measure and Testing Center with measurement of physics, chemistry, mechanics of materials, heat and length.
